The Snowdrop
Fragile flower of the snow, Beneath the frosty earth,
Though your petals fall like tears, You’re our symbol of rebirth.
In the icy world of the winter, You rise up in green and white, Waving silent bells of blessing, Transient as candlelight.
Through the dark days of December I will keep my faith in you,
Knowing how you’ll shine and sparkle Dressed in February’s dew.
