Winter Warmers

I’ve knitted since September, My wool stash basket’s low.

I’ve made three snoods, five scarves

and socks,

Two blankets and a throw.

I give these gifts at Christmas,

Small treats for friends I meet, So many folk don’t knit these days, They see it as a treat,

To cosy up against the cold in pieces

quite unique,

A little bit of sunshine for the days

when weather’s bleak.

And I feel pleasure swell inside to

know I’ve done my bit,

And kept the winter chills at bay

with all the things I knit!
