“I love the feeling of freedom”
“When I’m on my trike, I’m happy,” Jenny Turner says.
She has had mobility problems since her leg was badly injured in an accident.
“Whether I’m at a Wheels for Wellbeing session at the local velodrome or cycling with this amazing organisation in the park, I love the feeling of freedom cycling gives me.
“When I attended my first Wheels for
Wellbeing cycling session in June, one lap of the velodrome left me puffed out. Now, I can do ten laps! I also enjoy cycling in the park, which is a great way to spend time surrounded by nature.
“Thanks to cycling regularly, my leg and stomach muscles are stronger, I’ve more stamina, I’m more confident – and my mood has improved so much, I no longer have to take antidepressants.
“Cycling has made a world of difference to my life.”
