Peaceful Haven
The Alnwick Garden was created by the Duchess of Northumberland.
Inspired to make something out of land that was no longer used, she came up with the idea of a garden to be enjoyed by all, and in 1996 construction of the garden began.
Now it’s a contemporary, peaceful haven, with magnificent fountains and magical hornbeam arbours. It’s an informative, fun, creative and colourful place to visit.
