Gnome And Away
If your beloved gnome ever vanishes, he might not be gone for good – maybe he’s just on holiday.
The first known “roaming gnomes” were Harry and Charlie, who went on an adventure to Antarctica in the 1970s, accompanied by their human, a gnomologist named Henry Sunderland. They kickstarted a new travel trend, with some tricksy globetrotters even nabbing gnomes from gardens and sending photos of their far-flung exploits to their bewildered owners, before eventually returning them months or years later.
