Colas Class 37 named in tribute to ‘Auntie Barbara’

-

COLAS Rail Type 3 No. 37057 was named Barbara Arbon on July 4 at Loram in Derby in memory of the infrastructure monitoring team member who was affectionately known by her colleagues as ‘Auntie Barbara’.

At the ceremony, Colas Rail duty manager team leader Craig Tyrell described her as the head of the infrastructure monitoring family, going above and beyond her role to ensure staff were looked after. Barbara’s husband Richard and family members attended the ceremony and afterwards travelled behind No. 37057 in inspection saloon No. 975025 Caroline via Derby station, Chesterfield and Sheffield before returning to Loram.
