Crossrail progress
THE first passenger services on the central section of the Elizabeth Line will begin in February 2022 at the earliest, according to Crossrail chief executive Mark Wild.
Updating MPs at a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee on July 19, Mr
Wild confirmed that a phase of trial running was underway with 12 trains an hour. He said this was a process of several months and coincided with final integration testing of the system. This will be followed by a period of trial operations, expected in the autumn.
