Albert returns at Marsh Mills
THE Plym Valley Railway stalwart Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST Albert (2248/1948) returned to revenue-earning service on June 27, following overhaul at the line’s Marsh Mills headquarters in Plymouth. The ex-British Sugar Corporation loco was joined the following Sunday (July 4) by fellow Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST No. 705 (2047/1937), the first time that the line has been able to outshop two operational steam locos for some time.
