£2.6m restoration at Balham completed
GAPS between the train and platform have been reduced at Balham, platforms have been refurbished with new surfaces, as well as drainage and platform canopies repaired and repainted in a £2.6m investment at the south London station.

Rail has realigned the track to reduce stepping distances; installed new fencing to deter trespass; replace the sheeting on platform canopies; installed new canopy guttering along with other drainage improvements; and installed new tactile paving on platforms to improve accessibility for visually impaired passengers.
