Accommodation bogies built

WEST Midlands Metro (WMM) has taken delivery of three tram accommodation bogies for use at Wednesbury depot.

The bogies, built by Mechan, allow trams to be stored outside while their own bogies are removed for refurbishment. Some trams in the 21-strong CAF-built ‘Urbos 3’ fleet have also been undergoing repairs following the discovery of underframe cracks during inspections in June, which led to the temporary suspension of services.
