Derwent Valley Railway anniversary

THE Derwent Valley Light Railway marked the 40th anniversary of the original line’s closure with an event at Murton Park station on September 26, attended by Normandy veterans and the Lord Mayor of York. Mk.1 TSO No. E4990, which arrived on loan from North Yorkshire Moors Railway in July 2019 was also named Lavinia in honour of the late Lavinia Nelson, a DVLR supporter.
