Elsecar Avonside moves to Ribble line…

THE locomotive that started operations at the Elsecar Heritage Railway in 1996 – Avonside ‘B4’ 0-6-0ST Earl Fitzwilliam (1917/1923) – has left the closed heritage line to take up residence at the Ribble Steam Railway. The out-of-ticket loco departed South Yorkshire on October 7, having been purchased by an RSR member.
