Quadruple-header at Scarborough gala

SCARBOROUGH North Bay Railway celebrated the 90th birthday of Hudswell Clarke 4-6-2DH Neptune with a September 25/26 gala. The 16.40 departure from Peasholm on the Sunday was hauled by all four of the 20in gauge line’s Hudswell Clarke-built steam outline locos, Neptune being joined by 4-6-2DH Triton, 4-6-2DH Poseidon and 4-64DH Robin Hood – understood to be the first time all four have ever been at the head of a passenger train on the railway.
