Nene Valley Railway stages three ‘Peaks’ challenge

THE Nene Valley Railway held a three- day diesel gala on October 8-10 featuring an example of all three ‘Peak’ classes, 44, 45 and 46.

Friday are, visiting from the Midland Railway-Butterley, Class 44 No. D4 (44004) Great Gable and Class 46 No. D182 (46045), freshly painted in BR blue, stabled either side of resident Class 45 No. 45041 (D53) Royal Tank Regiment.
