CEPs relocate from Eastleigh Works to Southall

-

THE EPB Preservation Group has had to remove its pair of 4-CEP EMU cars, Nos. 61229 and 61230, from Eastleigh Works, where they had been since January 2014. They went to Arlington Fleet Services for a return to their original condition, but the work has not progressed as hoped and the workshop space was required for other projects. The DMSOs were collected by West Coast Railways’ Class 33 No. 33025 and the group’s Class 419 MLVs Nos. 68001 and 68002, used to convey 4-CEP parts and equipment, on August 12, destined for the EPB Group’s Southall base. The work to restore 4-CEP set No. 7105 to its original condition will be continued there. Those wishing to support the group and its two EMU projects should visit www.epbpg.co.uk for details.
