Midlands Parcel Hub nears completion
CONSTRUCTION of Royal Mail’s new rail-linked
Midlands Parcel Hub has reached the internal fit-out stage.
The hub at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal is due to come into use in 2023 and will be the second and largest such site opened by the company. The first, the North West Hub in Warrington, is scheduled to be fully operational next spring.
Royal Mail says the Daventry site will be capable of processing more than a million items a day.
