Wolverhampton milestone

THE scheme to extend the West Midlands Metro to Wolverhampton city centre reached a significant milestone in September with the laying of the first stretch of tram tracks outside the city’s railway station.

The final phase of main construction work for the project is taking place alongside the station, which fully reopened this summer following major rebuilding work.
