Blackpool No. 40 receives attention

-

BLACKPOOL No. 40 was lifted off its trucks at the end of October as part of its general overhaul at Crich, which also includes repairs to the roof and a full repaint.

Built in 1926, it was the last open balcony tramcar to run in Britain and first entered service in preservation in 1964.

Following its last complete overhaul in 1983/4, it operated during every season up to and including 2020.
