Deer leaps installed on Far North line
NETWORK Rail has completed the installation of 15 deer leaps along the Far North line between Kinbrace and Forsinard. The leaps offer deer an escape route to prevent them from being hit by trains should they inadvertently stray onto the line or become trapped while crossing. NR worked closely with the Auchentoul estate gamekeeper and the leaps are part of a £200,000 upgrade in railway fencing in the area.
