M5000 momentum continues

DELIVERIES of new M5000 trams for Greater Manchester’s Metrolink system are continuing at a regular pace.

No. 3133 was delivered to Queens Road depot on November 6, arriving three weeks after No. 3132.

Fourteen trams are still to be delivered from the order for 27 additional M5000s. The £72 million deal with Bombardier Transportation UK and Kiepe Electric was signed in July 2018.
