Royal visit marks Metro anniversary

ON November 9, his Royal Highness The Prince of

Wales unveiled a plaque at Haymarket station on the Tyne & Wear Metro, marking 40 years since its official opening by Her Majesty The Queen.

As part of his visit, which included a journey on the Metro, he met Steve Griffin and Dick Harrison, both of whom have more than 40 years of service as staff members on the system.
