GWR sets Class 387 route target

GREAT Western Railway hopes to have 12 drivers fully-trained for Anglo-Welsh operation of Class 387 EMUs by the start of the December timetable.

Training workings between Cardiff Central and Swindon began in September. GWR plans to use 12-car formations to provide extra capacity for major events in the Welsh capital.
