‘33’ and ‘50’ return

CLASS 33 No. D6515 (33012) ran from Eastleigh Arlington to the Swanage Railway on

April 14, hauling ‘Hoover

No. 50026 Indomitable. The ‘33’ has undergone an extensive overhaul – particularly with the cabs, which were not touched during previous overhaul at Eastleigh. The

‘50’ has undergone a very thorough overhaul, and both are newly painted into BR Green and Network SouthEast livery respectively.

Indomitable is due to have test runs before appearing at the Swanage diesel gala on May 6-8. Paul Spracklen’s other ‘50’, No. 50021 Rodney, was due to join it from Eastleigh a few days later, also for testing following overhaul.
