BASE SLAB FINISHED:

The base slab for an ancillary shaft at Victoria Road in Acton, which will provide ventilation and emergency access to the Northolt Tunnels, has been completed. Following the pouring of a concrete collar in February 2021, the first 11 metres of the shaft were built using precast concrete segments. Sprayed concrete lining was used on the final 19 metres.
