‘3MT’ shapes up

NEWBUILD BR ‘3MT’ No. 82045 continues to progress. Two coupling rods are going through the machining process at Stephenson Engineering, while the other two rods remain to be forged and machined. At Bridgnorth, some of the front footplating on the 2-6-2T has been refitted with a refresh of the paintwork. Shaping of lubrication pipework and attaching connecting fittings starting from the location of the mechanical lubricators is now in progress.
