COAL TANK ON COURSE:

By mid-April, the overhaul of LNWR Coal Tank No. 1054 was rapidly approaching completion. The side tanks and cab roof were lifted back onto the 0-6-2T on April 7. Members of the Bahamas Locomotive Society were aided by two employees of Breedon’s Hope Cement Works as part of a partnership to aid their apprentices in work experience. The following day a variety of fittings were reassembled on the National Trust-owned loco, including the dome cover, again aided by two members of the Hope Cement team.
