Brush Type 2 steps in at the Moors

MAIN LINE-registered Class 31, No. 31128 Charybdis, was hired by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for the first four weeks of the season. This was to cover the Whitby trains while Class 25 No. D7628 was out of action for generator and power unit repairs.

The Brush Type 2 arrived at Grosmont on March 22 as 0Z31, Burton Wetmore depot, and went on a crew-training run up the bank to Goathland the next day.
