New Belfast hub named

BELFAST’S new transport hub will be officially named Belfast Grand Central Station, Translink confirmed on April 7. Work on the £208 million south Belfast station began in February and is expected to open by 2025. The scheme stretches across 160,000 sq ft and will replace the existing Europa and Great Victoria Street bus and rail stations. The rail element will see the reconstructed station provided with eight platforms, an increase from the current four.
