‘A4’ Pacific No. 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley worked a special train for members of the Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust on Saturday, October 1, which it is pictured hauling at Green End. The 4-6-2 was due to return to Crewe on October 26 prior to taking up main line duties with Locomotive Services Group. These include two Steam Dreams excursions – London King’s Cross to York on November 17, picking up at Potters Bar and Stevenage and running via Stoke Bank; and Ealing Broadway to Lincoln on December 2, picking up at Finsbury Park and Hertford North.
