Visible progress with Lord Granby restoration

HAVING lifted the boiler into the frames of ex-Eastwell Iron Ore Company 3ft gauge Hudswell Clarke 0-4-0ST Lord Granby

(RM, September), the cosmetic restoration being undertaken by Eastwell History Group has continued apace.

Recent progress has included lagging the boiler then fitting the saddle tank, attaching the ashpan to the foundation ring, assembling the running plates on the frames and connecting the sanding gear to the front and rear sandboxes.
