Graham Morris’ Andrew Barclay 0-4-0WT Glyder (1994/1931) presents an evocatively industrial scene as it shunts wagons on the 2ft gauge lines in the colliery area at Beamish during the museum’s September 10 transport gala. In the background behind the gate is NRM-owned 40hp petrol ‘protected’ Simplex WDLR No. 3098 which is currently on loan to Beamish.
