Tramtown’s ‘busiest day yet’

-

THE Rigby Road home of the Blackpool Heritage Tram fleet welcomed 110 visitors on October 2 – making its “busiest day yet” according to organisers. The regular guided tours began in September last year, when the 1935-built shed was first opened to the public under the ‘Blackpool Tramtown’ banner. The guided tours have struggled to meet demand and have helped the business case for the £12million transformation of the building (see Feature) which is expected to take place over the next five to seven years.
