CELEBRITY SENTINEL:
Rolls-Royce 0-6-0DH No. DL83 (10271/1974) made a rare visit away from the Nene Valley Railway (NVR) on October 1-2 when it took part in the Epping Ongar Railway’s London Transport Weekend. Bought by London Transport in 1971, it was allocated to Lillie Bridge depot for ballast train working, before entering preservation at the NVR in 1994. No. DL83 is pictured in Epping Forest on its way to North Weald on October 1 with Class 117 DMS No. 51384 and Hawthorn Leslie 0-6-0ST Isabel, which has recently returned to action.
