‘Peak’ debut delayed until 2023

WORK to complete the extensive restoration of the Locomotive Services Group, Class 45 ‘Peak’ No. 45118 The Royal Artilleryman wasn’t completed in time for the loco’s planned main line preservation debut on October 19, with the ‘Torbay Delight’ tour. As a result, the tour ran with a pair of Class 37s.

A second tour, ‘The International, which would have taken a ‘Peak’ back to London St Pancras on November 9, will also be hauled by a pair of Class 37s.

LS Group is now aiming to complete the loco over the winter, featuring it in operations during 2023.
