RFG wants ‘ambitious target’

THE Rail Freight Group says that Great British Railways needs an “ambitious target” for driving freight growth, which will help build confidence in the sector.

It was responding to a call for evidence to help develop a better understanding of how future demands can be met and incorporated in plans for GBR, which is due to take over responsibility for railway infrastructure, planning and revenue next year.

The RFG represents over 120 organisations involved in the movement of freight by rail.
