BACK IN ACTION:
On November 14, SR Bulleid Pacific No. 34070 Manston made its first moves at the Swanage Railway since 2017, after an extensive overhaul by Southern Locomotives Limited, the loco’s owner, at Swanage Railway’s engineering works at Herston. After passing its final boiler exam with flying colours, it received a new 10-year ticket from November 16. Running in promptly got underway and on the afternoon of November 17 the 4-6-2 was caught on camera with a loaded test run just west of Quarr Farm crossing – two-and-a-half miles west of Swanage.
