Application submitted for station at Charfield

A joint planning application has been submitted by South Gloucestershire Council and Network Rail for a new railway station at Charfield, between Bristol Parkway and Gloucester. It could open at the end of 2024. The proposal is for two platforms, a pedestrian footbridge, covered cycle parking and car parking. The previous station closed in January 1965.
