Faster interchange route created at Bank tube station

-

TWO 100-metre long moving walkways and three new escalators at Bank station are expected to make interchange between London Underground’s Central and Northern lines quicker and easier for passengers. The interchange route between areas of the station serving the two lines was inaugurated just over a fortnight after a link comprising three new escalators was opened at Bank between the Northern line and Docklands Light Railway (DLR). Transport for London says that around 40% of passengers who use Bank station change lines there. It claims the Northern-DLR escalator link could save passengers up to nine minutes.
