Drama: The Downing Street Doppelganger

John Thomson (right) takes a dual role in this political comedy set in 1922. He plays both Prime Minister Henry Bonar-Baldwin and the music-hall comedian brought in by the government to pose as the stricken premier after he's incapacitated by a serious illness.

In Archive On 4: Paul Verhoeven’s American Future (Radio 4, 8pm), Ken Hollings talks to the Dutch director about his science-fiction movies, including RoboCop and Total Recall.
