92 QUIZZED IN RACISM INQUIRY AFTER BURRELL CLAIMS
ALMOST 100 people have been interviewed as part of a formal investigation into Luther Burrell’s shocking revelations about racism in rugby.
The former England centre revealed in The Mail on Sunday that he had been subject of comments made about slave shackles, and he made a call for a change to dressing room culture.
Burrell also had evidence of the N-word being used on WhatsApp grou chats, prompting the RFU to launch an investigation into his former club, Newcastle. RFU Head of Discipline David Barnes and lawyer Angus Hetherington have spoken to 92 players and staff members as part of the process, which should conclude later this month.
