Isa will knock tennis for six
I enjoyed Richard Gibson’s interview with Isa Guha. It makes sense for her to take over from Sue Barker on BBC’s Wimbledon. The fact that she is a cricketer, not an experienced tennis player, doesn’t matter.
Rod Williams, Essex
The last thing we need is yet another non-tennis player to parachute in and try to be the face of BBC tennis. A lot of Sue Barker’s presenting skills came from her knowledge of competing at top level and winning a Grand Slam.
Max Green, Cambridge
Annabel Croft would have been an ideal replacement. She’s an ex-tennis player and knows what she’s talking about.
Ellen Garcia, Lincoln
I could literally watch and listen to Isa all day. The BBC needs some vibrant new talent to replace boring Clare Balding and inane John Inverdale.
B. Moore, Chichester
Inevitably, if Isa Guha gets the job, there will be accusations of boxticking, and normally I would absolutely agree. However, in
Isa’s case, it would be a great decision.
