Liz slid off ‘glass cliff’

LIZ TRUSS may have broken through the ‘glass ceiling’ for ambitious women only to become a victim of the ‘glass cliff’. An analyst said the glass cliff faces women who are allowed to reach their full potential by men – but then find themselves nudged into an abyss below.

The analyst said it reflects the theory that in times of crisis, few men are willing to risk their reputation to take on a tough task. It is alleged men only hand over the chalice to a woman once it is poisoned – and then blame them for any mess that men hadn’t the courage to clear up.

Theresa May was said to have slid off the glass cliff as she tried to lead Britain after the Brexit referendum.
