My exercise regime…

I work out at home five days a week. Before the pandemic, I used to go to the gym but as lockdown kicked in, I realised I needed to move every day. So I get up and do 10 minutes of press-ups and squats before taking Amelie to school. Then I’ll do a 20-minute HIIT Body Coach workout with

Joe Wicks; 20 minutes of arms and triceps with fitness trainer Caroline Girvan and an abs workout with Strictly’s Karen Hauer. I walk to work. If I’m going to my BBC Radio London show, it’s five miles and if I’m at Virgin Radio, it’s eight.

My diet…

I’m allergic to wheat and so I stick to gluten-free food. As a child, I was always going to bed with a hot-water bottle as I was in pain. Eventually I found out it was a wheat allergy. I also don’t drink alcohol and stick to tonic waters like Fever Tree Cucumber Tonic. My guilty treat food is pistachio and banana ice cream!

My beauty routine…

I like to look after my skin carefully now. People didn’t talk about skin as much when I was younger. But now I use various vitamin C cleansers, exfoliators and face masks, and an eye and night cream.

My weekend…

I work on Sundays presenting my BBC London programme, so Saturdays are my big day off. On Friday night, I always like to have a meal with my husband and daughters and on Saturday, I try to have a lie-in – which for me is 8am!

My me time…

I love going for my walks. I like to have time to look around me and listen to conversations. Walking is great for my mind, body and heart.

My ideal date night…

This would be the four of us! The girls always say on our anniversary, ‘Why don’t you two just go out.’ But I love it when we’re together!

My favourite fashion item…

Jeans. I love to mix and match with old and new clothes but the thing I always go to is jeans. I’ve got skinny ones and baggy ones with tears.

My mantra…

Follow your dreams; don’t hurt anyone in the process; kindness is the key and laughter is the best medicine.
