DRINK PLENTY
‘Having a sufficient amount of water within our bodies is important because it forms part of the synovial fluid that lubricates and cushions joints – keeping us mobile,’ says nutritionist Rebecca Stevens.
The NHS recommends that adults should drink between 1.6-2.5ltrs of water a day to stay healthy.
‘Some women will need less than this and some people a little more, as your size, activity levels and the temperature all have an impact,’ says Rebecca. ‘Keep hydration levels topped up by sipping water regularly throughout the day.’ >>
