Diet tweak banishes fat and hunger

-

Following a low-fat, plantbased diet may be the key to shedding extra pounds. That’s the word from researchers in Nature Reports, whose small study found that those following the diet ate up to 700 fewer calories each day and lost more body fat in two weeks than subjects eating a highfat, low-carb diet. What’s more, folks on the low-fat diet reported the same satisfaction with meals and hunger levels as those on the other diet. Researchers credit the positive effect to the diet’s abundance of fiber, which slows digestion and triggers a longer-lasting feeling of fullness.
