Curb your pal’s excavations

When he’s in the backyard, your usually good boy just won’t stop digging in the dirt, leaving holes that are a hazard and eyesore. To nix the habit: Blow up a balloon just large enough to fit in the hole, then cover it with dirt to hold in place. When Fido starts digging, his nails will pop the balloon and the loud noise will startle him away. Repeat as needed, making sure to toss the balloon remnants.
