Nature’s gentle remedy for pandemic stress
Visiting a local park can help you cope with anxiety brought on by COVID-19, say researchers in the journal Personality and Individual
Differences. Their study found that people who spent time in nature reflecting without judgment were less stressed by the pandemic than folks who saw nature as something to be controlled. Says study author Brian W. Haas, Ph.D.: “Walking in nature, being attentive to its complexity and thinking about how humans fit in the natural world can help you reap the benefits.”
