You know making up with your spouse after a fight eases stress, but Oregon State University researcher­s say resolving the argument before bed has even bigger benefits for your well-being. They analyzed data from more than 2,000 participan­ts and found that folks who resolved an argument before day’s end had a significan­t reduction in negative emotions, had about half the festering spats as their counterpar­ts and headed into the following day with no lingering negativity.
