STAGE 3 FINDING THE VANISHING POINT

The parallel lines that define the base of the window and the back of the sofa vanish to the same point, which is a few inches above the top of the sketchbook page. I grab a piece of cardboard, stick it in between the pages of the book, and rule lines back to that point. Getting the perspective right makes the rest of the picture look more convincing.
