25 Years of Amazing Talent

Welcome to the August/september issue of International Artist magazine and our 25year anniversary issue! (Notice the silver ink on our cover). First, Adolfo and I want to thank the more than 1,500 artists across the globe whose demonstrations have been featured in International Artist. If you are part of this elite group of artists, this issue is dedicated to you.

Your contribution to the continuing education for artists is captured in time and in our magazine. Since issue #1, 25 years ago, every issue is a library of talent. It is no surprise that our back issues sell out constantly.

In fact, we did not have issue #1 in print at our office. Robin Castillo, social media engagement manager, found issue #1 on ebay and we purchased it for $12.99. You will see our references to this first issue throughout the pages of the magazine. While we love the story of our beginning, we are equally (well, actually more) excited about our future.

The reality is that technology has now made demonstrations available at your fingertips. Yet, International Artist remains that highly sought-after subscription and newsstand-based grand master in the journey of demonstration and art education. This wasn’t by coincidence. Founder Vincent Miller, a sculptor and fine art painter himself, had a master plan and it stands strong 25 years later and well into the future. Artists want to be able to turn the pages of a tactile magazine with beautiful imagery to learn and embrace the best techniques out there. This is International Artist magazine.
